Keeping Our Perspective in Tough Times

Larry Olsen April 11, 2020

What’s your perspective? Perspective is how we’ve learned to look at and understand what’s happening in our life. It’s our point of view. Our point can be called attitude. It’s how we stay right by keeping things the same, or how we grow and innovate. It’s all in one’s perspective.

There is a global perspective that can be consuming and perpetuated by modeling or mirroring other’s attitudes and points of view. This is going to tear us apart or pull us together. Your perspective is supporting one or the other. Here’s a question for you, do you choose your perspective, or has it chosen you? You’ll know what kind of a perspective you have by asking yourself how you are feeling through all of this.

Perspective; I can wait till it’s over to feel better and get on with my life. Or, I can look for ways to assist others through this tough time and take constructive action to be a part of the solution. Remember; it’s not what happens to us that determines our life, but how we choose to think about, and act upon, what happens to us that does.
